A Passion for Art and Community Engagement
Over the past two years, I have managed my fine art practus with my commitment to community. Through collaborations with three non-profit organizations, I’ve helped revitalize their digital presence, breathing new life into their websites and creating engaging content for their social media platforms.
For more than five years, I have been an active member of the Victor Harbor Artist Society’ an Art Collective, where I served on the committee and led efforts to enhance our group’s visibility. In 2022, I was offered the role of curating The Collective, an exhibition showcasing 100 works by fifty members of the Victor Harbor Arts Society (VAHS). With the support of a grant from SA Regional Arts, I spearheaded a successful advertising campaign, ensuring the event reached a wider audience.
With over thirty years of experience as a visual artist, my work has been exhibited in galleries across Western Australia, Queensland, and Adelaide. In addition to my personal art practice, I have a strong background in education, having taught media at the university level. Now in semi-retirement, I am fully immersed in my artistic journey, working alongside fellow creatives in the supportive environment of the Victor Harbor Arts Society.
In addition to my art practice, I’ve contributed to the societies growth by redesigning our website and creating educational content, including regular video posts on our YouTube channel. I also continue to lead workshops on painting techniques, helping others explore and expand their artistic skills.
